La Brasserie Restaurant Sea France Ferry

When we went to Scotland in Summer 2008 for a golf vacation, we took Sea France Ferry from the port of Calais in France going to the port of Dover in England.

When we went back home from our Scotland vacation via England and France, we again took Sea France Ferry from Dover to France.

There were a few restaurants inside the boat but we liked eating at La Brasserie better. The price was also quite reasonable.

We ate at La Brasserie on both instances when we rode the boat from Calais to Dover and from Dover to Calais.

From Calais to Dover, we had a very late lunch. We had Parma Ham and Melon for starters, then Chef’s Steak selection from Saint Omer region with three pepper sauce and french fries as the main course. The menu was actually called “Une table sur la mer”. We did not order any dessert.

From Dover to Calais, we had dinner at La Brasserie. We had Smoked Salmon “Emile FOURNIER” with a creamy chive dressing and blinis for starters, Chef’s Steak selection from Saint Omer region with three pepper sauce and french fries as the main course, and warm Tarte Tatin with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

La Brasserie only served food once the boat has left the port.

Travel time from Calais to Dover and vice-versa with Sea France Ferry was at least 1 and 1/2 hours. So, we really had time to enjoy eating as there was nothing to do inside the boat anyway.
