We stayed at the Waterside Hotel in Inverness when we had our golf vacation in Scotland in 2008. The hotel has its own restaurant too.
So, we did not go anywhere anymore. We decided to have our dinner at the Conservatory restaurant of The Waterside Hotel Inverness.
We had the impression that the Conservatory restaurant was a popular one even among the local residents.
We ordered salmon for starters and lamb shank for the main course. With that, we ordered an Australian red wine, a Katherine Hills Shiraz Cabernet from South Australia.
The food was really fine. The salmon was great. The lamb shank was so tender and mouth watering.
Another thing, we enjoyed the nice view of the River Ness from the restaurant compensating for not having the view of the river from our hotel room.
We definitely had a lovely dinner.
