We already passed by Hawick going to Edinburgh City but we went back to Hawick after our trip in Oban.

We stayed at the Elm House Hotel along North Bridge Street which was right at the center of Hawick.

After a short rest from a long trip from Oban, we went to the dining room of the hotel for dinner.

We did not go anywhere anymore for dinner as the dining room of the hotel was open for the hotel guests.

We had skewered shrimps with salad for starters and stir-fried duck breast for the main course. After which, I ordered muffin cake with ice cream for dessert.

The food were really good especially the skewered shrimps and the muffin cake with ice cream. The dessert was simply mouth-watering.

I was not sure though if the dining room was also open to other people who were not hotel guests. But the hotel bar was somewhat popular among the local residents.

Well, for one thing, the hotel owners were very friendly. They were the ones who especially accommodated us.
